Transportation of Luxury Prefabricated Bathroom Products via Iran to Kazakhstan

This multimodal transport operation involved several coordinated stages of transportation. The cargo consisted of luxury prefabricated bathroom components and accessories, which were professionally packed, loaded, and secured in shipper-owned containers (SOCs).

The containers were shipped from Jebel Ali Port to Imam Khomeini Port. SASCO then coordinated cargo transit through Iran by transporting the containers overland to the Port of Anzali on the southern coast of the Caspian Sea. From Anzali, they were shipped to the Port of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Following customs clearance in Aktau, the cargo was delivered to its final destination in the Tengiz region.

The entire operation was completed within 40 days through close coordination between SASCO’s office, port, and operational teams. The value of the cargo in each container exceeded USD 35,000, and the shipment was handled on behalf of a Russian company.

Export of Fresh Fruit from Iran to Canada

SASCO handled temperature-controlled cold chain shipments of Iranian dates and kiwifruit to Canada using refrigerated equipment and reefer containers.

After packing, the produce was palletized to facilitate safe handling and reduce the risk of physical damage. Because fresh fruit is highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and handling conditions, the shipments required careful loading, continuous temperature control, and close operational coordination throughout the route.

The cargo originated in Anzali and Kerman and was transported in refrigerated equipment through the Bazargan border to the Port of Mersin in Turkey. At Mersin, the produce was carefully transferred into reefer containers and transported through sea freight services to the Port of Montreal in Canada. From Montreal, the cargo was moved by rail to its final destinations.

The successful completion of this operation required coordinated planning among the packing, road transport, port handling, ocean freight, and destination delivery teams.

Import of an Automotive Painting Line from Russia to Iran

This two-month project involved the transportation of a complete automotive painting line for a well-known Iranian vehicle manufacturer.

To avoid cross-stuffing and reduce unnecessary cargo handling, the equipment was transported in SASCO-owned containers. The cargo was loaded in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, and moved using rail freight services to Astrakhan.

Following customs procedures in Astrakhan, the containers were loaded onto a fully chartered vessel and shipped across the Caspian Sea to the Port of Anzali in northern Iran.

Using the same containers throughout the journey helped reduce handling risks and supported more efficient coordination between the rail and sea transport stages.

Heavy Lift Transportation from Imam Khomeini Port to Assaluyeh under Cabotage Regulations

This heavy lift and project cargo operation involved the transportation of three depropanizer columns weighing 67, 186, and 240 metric tons.

Due to the dimensions and weight of the columns, transporting them entirely by road from Imam Khomeini Port to the project site in Assaluyeh was not feasible. A coastal sea freight route was therefore selected as the main transportation solution.

The columns were transported in a roll-on/roll-off operation using a 3,000-ton flat barge. The cargo was loaded at Imam Khomeini Port and shipped to Assaluyeh under Iranian cabotage regulations.

The operation required detailed planning for barge loading, cargo securing, port handling, route coordination, and the safe movement of the heavy units. Despite the operational complexity of the project, SASCO’s experienced team successfully completed the transportation and received positive feedback from the client.
